The food at the Hattiesburg location is always good. We have tried most everything and haven’t been disappointed. Not so for the neighboring town location. We steer clear of that one. Good basic bbq but the big draw for this place is Willie! Willie is the only ‘server’ in the place and he is a GEM! We go just to see him!

Great BBQ in Hattiesburg, Ms. My sisters and I were traveling back to Memphis from the beach in Florida. I had eaten at a Dickey’s in Meridian, Ms. so I thought this would be the perfect place to stop. Looking at the map for directions I couldn’t figure out exactly how far off the freeway they were. My sister used her GP3, it took us in a different direction. Boy, we got lost, really lost. I called the restaurant and spoke to Terrance, the manager, he stayed on the phone with me until we made it to the restaurant. I just wanted to let everyone know what kind of person Terrance is. Great guy, and the food was wonderful. So if you are looking for BBQ, you can’t go wrong with stopping at Dickey’s. Say hi to Terrance for the girls from the beach for me.
