Came to Olive Garden Hattiesburg with a girlfriend to have soup, salad, and wine. Our server was great, but we sat in the bar area and it was somewhat awkward. The bartender..a girl was chatting with the other employees so loudly that I could barley hear what my friend was saying. She went on to text on her cell phone and then we heard another employee complaining about his tips. The food was good as always but the bar staff was extremely rude and unattenitive.
Better than average chain. I eat at Olive Garden a few times a year when I can’t find a family owned place–and it’s usually pretty good. This time I had the sausage/potato soup which is very rich and hearty. This batch could have used a little more potato and sausage, but the taste was good. I also had the Seafood Portofino which was good, but it could have used a little more garlic. The service was excellent.
I am Italian and this is an insult to my Bella Italia…
