I literally created this profile to comment on this restaurant. They are wonderful and the staff are always so nice when I go. This is my first choice of places to go out to eat because the price is so low you would think the food wouldn’t be that good but think again! I have been here multiple times with my husband and never have we been disappointed. As a matter of fact I am going today for lunch! Even the company I work for services the a/c’s and they love it.
I cant say I was disappointed, but based on the many glowing reviews I read, I may have set my expectations a little high. To start with, the salsa has a good flavor but no spice. Nada. I ordered the enchiladas supreme which is 4 enchiladas in red sauce topped with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Chicken, ground beef, cheese and bean. Of the 4, the chicken was far and away the best. I would have been good with a plate of these. Cheese was also good- seemed like they use Oaxaca cheese. The ground beef had a strange flavor like it was reheated or precooked and the bean was not good at all. If those are the beans they serve on the side, I would not even eat them. No flavor. Of course this is just one dish. I would like to try the fajitas before passing final judgment. For now I would say that Papitos was average and worth a second try.

Papitos is my usual go-to for Mexican food in Hattiesburg. Sometimes the prices can be slightly higher than one might expect, but for the amount of food you get as well as the quality, it’s still a decent value. There’s good variety too, and I like the atmosphere, both when it’s busy and when it’s quieter.
Always excellent service and the food is consistently good. Large portions and nice and clean. The price is also very good for lunch and dinner
The food was great at Papitos. I think the chips and salsa could have been a bit more flavorful, and the service seemed a little slow for the amount of tables in the restaurant when we dined in. Overall a nice experience. I will visit Papitos again!
The food is good. My wife and I order the freshly made Guacamole Salad and the Papitos Dip. Together they are great dishes.Add their Salsa Chips.
