Just had quite possibly the worst biscuit I’ve had in my life. Biscuits should be light and fluffy. This thing resembled a hockey puck. Hard and over baked. This spot may or may not have good burgers, but breakfast was garbage.

A great stop off the highway. My friends and I stopped at Ward’s in what seemed the complete middle of nowhere in between Atlanta and New Orleans. What we stumbled upon, however, was great home-made root beer, chili cheese burgers and french fries, all for about $5. I highly recommend it.
Sorry I ordered the exact same things as I had ordered at the S 49 Wards and was awfully disappointed. My burger bun was barely warm so I know the extra toasting didn’t happen as I asked and the fries were not the least bit crisp– I know because I felt each one of them. Why would one Wards have such a mediocre burger/fries when another one has such a great one that it is still hot 5 miles and through the light at Hardy/49? Does that make sense to you? I’ve stopped even trying at Sonic 4th and 49/Walmart — even asking them to well done the burger and extra crispy the tots gives the same result so I’ll not go back — either their order machines crackle so the staff can’t hear or the staff aren’t listening so I’ll buy tots frozen and use my convection toaster oven. Now should I give this Wards another chance? I’ll have to think about it.

Yum!. Best chilli cheese dog ever! I try to eat at Ward’s each time I make a trip to Hburg.
