Yamato is me and my boyfriends favorite restaurant in Hattiesburg. The sushi is great, definitely the best I’ve had in the Hattiesburg area. Yamato’s staff members are all very nice, respectful, and never miss a step. I love how clean and nice the restaurant is. We visit here weekly. Did I mention the sushi is incredible?
Great all around. I went to Yamato for dinner recently for the first time, and the experience was more than I expected. The staff were very helpful and even gave me a deal on the hibachi because it was my first time! The sushi rolls are delicious, and the tuna (my favorite) was fresh and so tasty. The restaurant was swanky and super clean. I’d recommend Yamato to anyone who love Japanese!
The food is awesome
The sushi here is good and the waitstaff are very friendly. The bar selection is minimal, but not a deal breaker.Their sushi chef is from New York and has been making sushi for 4 years. I would recommend this place for sushi if you are in the Hattiesburg area.
