Hot damn one of my favorite places to eat in Jackson, whether it be for a sandwich at lunch or crab cakes at dinner. I’m hardly in Jackson any more, but when I visit, it’s one of the stops I make happen.

Looking for a great sandwich with fresh ingredients that want hurt your wallet while shopping in Fondren? This is it!!I love this place.Looking for great pizza try the Basil’s in Bellhaven.

Excellent!. The best tomato soup I’ve yet to have, it’s so flavorful and accompanied by a piece of bread, or baguette. I get the turkey panini, can’t remember which all of a sudden, but dang those paninis make my mouth water! The staff is always very friendly. Love this place.

Great Lunch Stop. I can’t make myself get anything else besides the ham, cream cheese, and basil sandwich. I have friends that love the spaghetti and meatball. The cakes are fabulous.

Love!. Basil’s is a great establishment. There are three in Jackson; one in Fondren, one in Belhaven, and one in downtown Jackson with Cup’s. The Belhaven location serves dinner. Both locations serve fabulous paninis and the deviled eggs are great! I have not been to the Cup’s/downtown location but it serves the same menu, with great coffee easily accessible. I would advise people to try the #5- Elvis. It’s a fun combination of bananas and peanut butter on foccacia; trust me it’s great. For a more conventional panini, try the #8- turkey, roasted tomatoes, olive salad, feta cheese on foccacia. Great to eat in or take out. Also, the tomoato basil soup is wonderful!
