Awesome experience! We went for my birthday this past year. Food was great. Cocktail selection is on point. I love that they have adult slushies. Our service was okay and really I think the waitress just tried to hard. Overall is definitely a spot we’d go back to!
It’s sexy, fun and much needed. The perfect date night or drinks after work. The small plates are always delicious and great mixture of wine, beer or cocktails.
I really don’t understand some of the other reviews – we’ve never had anything but incredible service. Caet has outdoor seating along an alley that is the perfect spot to enjoy their happy hour specials. Love their adult slushies! It’s the number one happy hour spot in Fondren for my husband and I. Favorites dishes have been boudin balls, shrimp corn dog and fries.
Very rude service Don’t exp…. Very rude serviceDon’t expect friendly service from the hostess or the bald guy behind the bar. I’ve tried this place three times now and while the food was good, the service is just so unfriendly I don’t think I will be back. I have also heard the same comments about the hostess from other people. She follows people around and spys on them outside waiting for a moment where she can find some reason to jump down someone’s throat. It’s very bizarre and someone needs to put her in check before she runs everyone off. Word gets around fast.
Pretentious. Enjoy being open for about a year or so. That’s it.
Worth stopping by.. The wife and I had dinner just down the way from Caet and figured we’d stop in for small sampling and a cocktail. Can’t offer a full review since we haven’t spent some good time there, but the stuffed sausage with stewed tomatoes and peppers was impressive. Heavy on red wine flavors, very well ground/smooth sausage. The charcuterie was actually a surprise. you get a nice portion of a very good variety and I loved their mustard. Most places charge the same and you get a very small sampling.I ordered a gin martini, straight up, three olives. Asked for it stirred, no vermouth, with three olives. I got the three olives, but it was otherwise just a dry (instead of very dry) and was shaken, so it had bits of ice melting, diluting the gin flavor. I would have expected a better gin selection than the standard, though Beefeaters is always a favorite.Only problem is that their small plates are a bit too pricey. 10 dollars instead of 12 for the sausage would be more reasonable, and a similar cut in price could probably go across the board. But, with that said, this location has seen many restaurants come and go within the span of a year, and Fondren is an expensive place to setup shop.
