Fatsumo Sushi is one of the latest additions to the sushi market in the Jackson, Mississippi area. Their website states that have another restaurant in Gulfport, Mississippi. The Jackson restaurant opened in the spring of 2011 in the historic Fondren district, which has a number of nice restaurants in the area. My wife and I love sushi and recently ate at Fatsumo. The restaurant has a modern eclectic appearance and a fairly generous offering of sushi and Japanese dishes. We ordered two of their grand champion rolls and one medium roll with a calamari appetizer. The calamari was lightly seasoned and fried crisp with a sweet pepper sauce. The rolls were all impressively adorned and very good, with combinations of ingredients that are not the norm at other sushi restaurants we have frequented. Fatsumo also has an outdoor seating area which is plus for the Fondren district where you have a lot of foot traffic.
