Love this place. Love the style, the food (especially the porkstrami slider and fried cheese), the beer and the atmosphere. Love their outside area and it’s kept really neat. Very friendly management and staff who actually remember faces and orders which is pretty impressive to me.
Awesome beer selection, great bar food, and excellent service. Between all the fun games (corn hole and the huge jenga outside), shuffle board, and board games inside, it’s a place to catch up with friends, relax, and unwind. The porkstrami, bbq, and breakfast sliders along with the Fried cheese are my favorites! Definitely worth giving it a try!
I was very happy when fondren public opened up. It is a great design and has plenty of space inside and outside. Great place to go to play some lawn games and hang out. About 6 months ago there seemed to be a drastic shift in the quality of the food and I honestly love everything i have eaten there since this shift. On the weekend it becomes too crowded for my taste, but during week nights it is a great place to have a somewhat crowded bar that has enough space where you can have a good conversation, great food, play some games, and just enjoy your night. If you’re not into the loud bar scene stay away from friday and saturday nights, since there is barely standing room.
Fondren Public is exactly what the young Jackson social scene needed. It’s hip, rustic yet modern and has a great choice of craft beers. You can play games on the patio or hang out in a cozy booth inside. Always a good time here.
FP is a welcome addition to the Fondren area and Jackson. Stepping through the door, one feels as though he has found a home. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable; they will gladly help you choose among the extensive draft selection. There is also a great outdoor area, but I haven’t made it past the bar. This is my new favorite after work pub.
We ordered a glass of wine at the bar tonight and after sitting down and trying it, this bottle had obviously been sitting open for awhile. The glass of wine was so terrible that I returned it to the bar tender for another glass of the same Pinot but different bottle. Upon getting my ticket the bar tender charged me for the returned glass and would not credit me for the returned glass. This is not the credibility of a good bar and shows poor customer service..
