    It’s been almost 2 years since Semajgave Fuddruckers an A+ at their grand opening, and I would still concur today. I was eyed very suspiciously by the manager? when I came in taking photos, but I left with a belly full of delicious bacon cheeseburger, and home style steak-cut fries. The fixin’s bar was loaded with super fresh ingredients, and you could tell I was about the first customer of the day, because even the lettuce was arranged in an orderly fashion! As far as gourmet burger joints go these days, in MY book, Fuddruckers is one of the tops for overall value. AND very importantly to me, a family friendly atmosphere.

The heart of a burger is the meat, which in my burger had no seasoning whatsoever. My friend, order a salad, which after eating some of it, discovered a worm. He returned it for a refund, but the worst part is that the staff did not remove the same bowl of lettuce from which his salad came from. That should have happened immediately.

    its hard to mess up a burger, but some restaurants are talented and find ways to do it. i ordered the inferno burger: jalapenos, caramelized onions, and cheese. when i got the burger it was 2 inches deep of caramelized onions (which turned both buns into mush), a couple of broken chunks of a burger patty and no jalapenos. when i brought up the missing jalapenos they directed me to the salad bar to get them for myself. the meat that was on there did have good flavor so they probably can make a good burger, just not this one.

    A+ Grand Opening. I know it’s probably wise to wait and try new restaurants maybe a few weeks to a month after opening, preferably so all the kinks and the newness can be worked out. But I gave Fuddruckers a chance on their grand opening at 5:00pm, and they might have changed my mind on grand opening logic. Of course it was busy, line literally to the door, but 30 minutes wasn’t terribly bad to wait before placing an order. After that everything went rather smoothly. There was definitely enough staff & management to ensure this. I ordered the 1/3lb Bourbon burger cooked medium with caramelized onions, bbq sauce, bleu cheese and nearly every fresh topping from the bar plus fries. Everything was great, from the flavor, fresh baked buns, food temperature, and portions. If you don’t mind waiting for a good burger, Fuddruckers is the spot.
