  LOVE this place!. I’ve eaten here several times and I just absolutely love the food. The flavors and textures and just divine. Sadly, every time I have been there, my friends and I have been the only customers. I don’t know if it’s a lack of advertising, poor location, or the population’s unwillingness to try something different – but I hope this place stays around for a long time. The food is certainly good enough to make the place a success.

  Visited Abeba on 2/16/12 as a group of four. We experienced quick, friendly service. Server was VERY helpful in guiding us through the menu. We chose 4 entrees to share, and sadly I cannot remember their names. However, one was lamb, one chicken, and 2 beef dishes. We also rec’d a big tray loaded with various veggie sides. Food was delicious! We were all happy with our selections and had enough food left over for 2 take-home boxes. Tab was $60 for an entire tableful of food. Will definitely be back!

  Went on a Friday night. Not really busy 4 or 5 tables occupied. Must agree with previous posts that service is rather slow. Side dishes and anjera bread arrived well before entrees. One Beg Tibs (lamb) and one cubed beef spiced with cardamom. Both were tasty – as were veggies and bread. Plenty of food , had remainder for lunch the next day. I recommend the food – but be forwarned that you have a long wait to get it.

  Really poor service. For starters, the waitress dumped a full glass of tea on my daughter. Our food took forever to come out, and then it was OK but not great. Two of us wanted no spice in our meals and as a result none of us got spice at all. And the final blow was that they actually charged us for the full meal for the my daughter wearing the tea. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

  Fantastic – Everyone should try it. My husband and I eat out a lot and like to try new restaurants. So, we went and are so glad we did. Our service was great and did not take long at all to get our food or drinks. Everyone was very nice. We ordered the vegetable plate combo so we could try all the veggie dishes and the Beg Tu (Spelling?) – lamb dish with onion, peppers and tomato. They don’t bring you utensils because you are supposed to use the crepe-like bread to scoop up the food. I kept the spoon that came with the entree… but it was fun trying to eat the food that way. You get wet wipes if you are a messy eater.Can honestly say this is good food and I would go again. Next time I will try the spicy food and look forward to it!!!

  POOR SERVICE. Went here with some friends. We consider ourselves fans of foreign cuisines. When we ate here we at first waited to take our order about 20 minutes. We ordered waters which didn’t come. It took over an hour, about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food. And while waiting for our food the waitress was absent for about 45 minutes. And on this night the restaurant was not busy there were maybe 6 other tables in the restaurant that were filled. The food was just average it wasn’t anything special. We then waited longer to receive our checks, probably another good 45 minutes waiting to get our receipts. The service needless to say was horrible. I am recommending that you do not eat at this restaurant unless you want to be ignored for 2 hours. I will not be eating here ever again.
