I do not like this place…. This is the only restaurant (or bar) in the airport at the time of this review. There is a convenience type store that has a refrigerator case of cold sandwiches, salads, etc, but little else. Yesterday was my second visit. I ordered a pinot grigio, southwest chicken avocado salad (no ranch, substitute extra salsa), and a water. The bill came to $23.52. (The kicker was that they charged me .60 for the salsa substitution.) In my opinion, it tasted like a close cousin of a McDonald’s salad. I am willing to fork over a lot for a good meal, but my opinion is that this is NOT a $23.52 meal, even for airport food. Usually, I can make 2 meals out of average restaurant portions. This left me wanting… and hungry. I broke down and bought a sandwich and chips at my next stop about an hour and a half later. The only positives were that the wine was decent (Ecco Domani) and the waitress was pleasant and attentive. However, I am through! After two negative experiences, I will never, ever, ever eat here again. It’s sad, because except for this experience, I think Mississippi southern style cooking is amazingly AWESOME!
