Went there for the awesome burger, but was tempted by the special, swordfish. OMG, it was to die for. Is there anything they can’t cook? Waitress was exceptional too. Can’t wait to go back.
I have heard bad things about this restaurant for years. I came a couple of times during lunch and the food was great but service wasn’t and everyone seem to hate their job. I got a Togo order at night the time our dog decided to knock out steaks in the mud, the guy at the bar was nice but the girls during night looked trashy and out of it, I think I only saw one girl that wasn’t wearing ‘underwear’ or shorts as they would think. My boss and a couple of co-workers decided to go out and celebrate a hard week of opening a new store, they wanted to come here. So I joined. We got a girl with huge holes in her ears and tattoos, I of course thought the worst, and prepared myself for bad service, but that was not the case at all! I don’t know her name but she was great at what she does, there was alot of people playing pool and she seemed to know them all. you can tell she knows her stuff and has a lot of regulars. She knew her drinks very well, you could tell she had been a bartender somewhere. We all were in all of watching her run around the place serving everyone I think I saw two other girls and they were just standing around. I came in tonight to get a Togo order because I didn’t want to cook, I saw this girl there it was busy, really busy and she was on top of things, as I stood there waiting on the lady to get my food a man at the bar started a conversation with me as the girl walked passed I asked if he knew her name it was loud and I think he said that’s Pam or something around that he then went on to tell me she was the best waitress they have had in years. I agreed and I will always ask for her, he said she is there almost every night, I don’t know it that’s her name or not, but she has those holes in her ears and she was a lot of tattoos on her arms. She is the reason I will start coming here more often!
the first time i came here for lunch i didn’t see any one for 10 minutes so i walked out and wrote the place off. then some friends asked me to join them for what they described as the best steak in town. that’s a pretty tall order so i had to give it a shot. the cowboy rib eye is what we all order. i was stunned with they brought out this giant hunk of perfectly cooked steak. i can’t remember the last time i’ve had any steak in town cooked exactly to medium rare, much less one of this size. the seasonings were spot on and the flavor of the meat shined. the onions rings had a bit too much batter, but they were still good. this was definitely the best steak i’ve had in the greater jackson area.
Awful Management. First and last time customer……….Ordered a stake medium- medium well came out well throughout. The manager lacks customer service skills…I advised that I understood their no refund policy and that I was not requesting a refund but rather him to illustrate where in this stake there was a strike of pink. he refused and ask me to leave….He was irate and disrespectful…..I have nerve encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior…even the staff was under their breath saying I’m so sorry.The owners of this establishment need to take more pride in who they have as representation on the front line.

Wine. Not sure the last time you visited reed pierces but the wine is great now Sterling cab, Firesteed Pinot ,Silver oak cab ,and great selection of whites also not to mention high end bourbons and scotch not just your regular sports bar people this place rocks!!!!!
Food = fantastic. Service = mediocre. I usually visit Reed Pierce’s at night at least once a month. They have a phenomenal burger which I recommend to everyone and it never disappoints. The jalapeo cheddar bun is tasty, the meat is great, and the onion rings are home made. The only thing that bothers me about this establishment is the lack of professionalism by the waitresses. For instance, most of the girls wear skimpy shorts (which I do understand the establishment is a pool based restaurant, however this looks tacky to me and is gross), the manner in which they approach the table, and how they interact with guests. For instance, when our server brought out comeback sauce for our onion rings she licked it off of her fingers as she was walking away. Even with all of that said, Reed’s has great food and if all else fails is as good to go.
