After having Lou’s bookmarked for nearly two years and I finally had the opportunity for a lunch visit. Having pre-perused the menu, I had already decided on the Shrimp and crawfish etoufee over stone ground cheese grits. A rich, seasoned dark roux overflowing with the above mentioned seafood served atop some creamy and velvety grits. This combination sounded odd but the flavors worked extraordinarily well together. Glancing around at other creative looking dishes, I knew I’d be returning to try those also. Excellent food and fast, courteous service.

This is seriously the best restaurant in Jackson! I’ve been 3-4 times and never been disappointed. Food is excellent and servers know their stuff.
This is another one of my favs. The Lou’s Number 7 burger…slap your momma good. The filet is flavored well. I have yet to get anything bad here. And the desserts, oh my word, you have to get the desserts. The buttermilk ice cream is awesome and the tiramisu, well there are no words for this dessert, it’s just ah-mazing!
I’ve eaten here twice for lunch. The food is always wonderful, but the service has much room to improve. The daily lunch specials are a great value for the quality and quantity of food you get.
Food looked really good. Unfortunately, we waited over 20 minutes at lunch with no waiter coming by and then were told they had sold out of the plate lunch we had wanted so left hungry and very frustrated.
