Please keep in mind this was our 5th trip to Chop Sticks as I never rate an experience by one or even two visits to a restaurants. How this restaurant can get anything above 1 star is beyond me, I am thinking the past reviewers just have not yet experienced a great, or even good Chinese Restaurant. But maybe this (sad to say) is the best on the Miss Gulf Coast as I have tried others equally as bad. It is ash The food is BLAND, the variety is extremely limited, and the service is non-existent. This is a shame as they are so many other good/wonderful restaurants between Bay St. Louis and Ocean Springs, just not a good Chinese restaurant. The buffet is always left to go down to nothing in the pans before they are replenished, especially the Won Ton Soup as very often there is just a pan of colored water with a few remnants of a noodle. Egg rolls are greasy and dry at the same time with no meat fillings. Of course then there is the visit to the register where I am guessing is the owner’s son who simply takes your money, no smile, no thank you just a place to check out. And that is just what we did. a permanent check out of Chop Sticks. PS: Maybe my problem is that I an used to eating at Trey Yuen in Mandeville, La. and Hunan’s in Baton Rouge, La.

The price is right, the food: not a large variety, but what hey do have is delicious and always fresh. Their hibachi chicken is my favorite. Yes it is the same stuff as other Chinese buffets, but the food I fresh everytime I’ve been there. You know how you go yo a Chinese buffet and you go to get hot and sour soup or egg drop soup and it’s dark, with a skin on top, and all the flavors are just muddled because it’s just been sitting there all day? Won’t find that at chopstick

Great Asian buffet located in the Long Beach shopping center on RR street. The menu is a bit limited, but they do offer sushi rolls. Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly and attentive. Great place to feed the whole family on the cheap.

Chop Stick is good for the occasional cheap Chinese buffet craving. Staff was kind. Food was well prepared and tasty. Upon first glance, the exterior does not look promising but I was pleased.

Nice, small buffet. Plenty of traditional Chinese style staples on the hot bar.

Maybe it was just off-hours but…. I really wanted to like this place given that it is the only other Chinese buffet in Long Beach besides May Wah which I have grown up eating. Unfortunately both of my trips there have been incredibly disappointing, and I am not the only one that feels this way from talking with other people about it. I usually eat at odd times of the day but I went in there once around 4 and the next time around 6. Both times the food was absolutely terrible and anything but fresh. I would just account this for being unlucky twice except for the fact that every other Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to during on or off hours has tasted much better and had overall better quality of food than Chop Stick. I may try this place again down the road, but every time I’ve considered it I feel like it’s just going to be another waste of money. The worst part about this is I am anything but picky with food and this is one of the only places ever I’ve felt like this about.
