Trax are not for kids. Because they allow smoking. Although the combination of air conditioning and ceiling fans did not allow any visible smoke to accumulate, the odor still lingered.I had the blue plate special – Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and bread. You do get a lot of food – the plate was about a foot long and filled the interior. The Salisbury steak was quite substantial, but lacked a beefy flavor. It did have a generous topping of grilled onions and mushrooms which appeared to be fresh (a snap to the onions and flavor with the mushrooms) . The potatoes were heavy – literally heavy – these were not whipped and creamy. They were stingy with the brown gravy, but the potatoes were actually pretty good despite their consistency. The green beans were the usual flat, wide industrial offerings. The bread was a large portion too.What the food lacked in flavor was almost made up by the portions. Friendly staff and the food was served rather quickly. This slipped into the Do Not Like realm mainly because of the lack of flavor in the Salisbury steak, but if you need a lot of food quickly and don’t mind the smoke, make tracks to Trax.
