Ward’s Fast Food of Long Beach. I went last week and ordered thru the drive up. Did not get onion rings in the order. Today I go back and order 2 Chili cheese dogs, one had no cheese, the other had no chili…what’s up with this, isn’t a chili cheese dog with both ? They will not answer the phone, goes to automated message. It iritates me to pay for an order and they can’t get it right.
It reminds me of a Denny’s except smaller. More homier. You’re served with plastic trays using plastic knives on a plastic plate and drink out of a plastic cup, but yet it’s friendlier than most places. Except for the girl that waited in me. Since I was new to the Ward’s concept she had to wait another 20 or so seconds which gave her plenty of time to place her elbow on the register and prop it against her head while she had to wait on me to make up my mind (Never know when you’ll get caught). They have their everyday clientele in and out except it’s not like the big city. Two local folks were talking about the price of oysters and how they’re too much now. Someone leaves the local newspaper for the next person to read with or without grease stains. And the picture on the menu doesn’t match the portion on the plate. You already know which is larger. As for the taste. Hashbrowns exactly like Burger Kings, size and taste. Eggs scrambled in a butter sauce instead of clear shortening. The butter sauce is probably a synthetic, not that I’m complaining cause I’d probably eat there again. And fountain drinks that you serve yourself. The size of the place can be compared to a Wendy’s.
