Most hibachi restaurants tend to be pretty much the same but sometimes you come across one or a few that may stand apart. Hokkaido is inching towards standing out. The shrimp and scallop hibachi was good, but the sushi passing by on different plates had my attention peaked with the artistry and presentation. Knowing I’d be too full from the huge mound of hibachi on my plate, I didn’t dare attempt a roll….not today at least, but I’ll be back!
Best service and hibachi chefs in the Jackson/Madison area. I have a 5 year old and the chefs really enjoy entertaining him with jokes and tricks. It seems like more of an obligation at other places, but these chefs are wonderful. The sushi is also incredible. Very fresh, carefully made. Love this place.
It was Delish! We had the sushi (Bad girl, Hwy 51 and super spider), the coconut shrimp appetizer and a little bowl of fried rice and it was all so great. I also had the saki tini and it was yummy too. But the highlight for me was the service. Our waitress was the bartender also and she was so on top on everything. I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back!
Wife loves it! She is constantly on the hunt for top quality sushi, and so far this is the best place she’s found in the Jackson area.

We love this place!!! We go at least once a week! We have several favorite rolls and the staff is always very friendly and service is excellent!!
Wow…used to be one of my fav places to eat but recently it’s gone downhill service wise. My husbands family has a very bad allergy to shrimp, and as a medical md he tries to avoid contact with the allergen as much as possible to avoid future sensitivity towards it…so anyway he ALWAYS orders foods without ANY shellfish…ALWYS…not even imitation crab. So the past 5 times we’ve ordered they have messed it up with varying degrees despite the request. Don’t order the volcano roll b/c u will get shrimp or crabmeat…this has happened despite the fact that A) the menu doesn’t have crab or shrimp B) they never added these ‘allergens a year ago’ C) they’ve actually screwed up other parts of the order (aka forgetting the volcano sauce 3-5 times, 0 edamame on another order, don’t even bother on a seared tuna or a salmon roll…USED to be perfection yet now if you order those 2 items it, for some reason, they never appear…also another 3-5 account.Now have I failed as a customer?…yes…I’ve given gracious tips despite they’re failures. Have I ordered despite them messing up the order with potentially deadly consequences?…yeah. Have they completely failed me? Of course…I’ve mentioned the allergy, mentioned missing sauce and last 2 times said yes you failed to get my order right…at the Cody of about 39 bucks. Can I recommend this place? No.
