Wonderful Dinner at Strawberry Cafe. I would highly recommend Strawberry Caf. It is a small, quaint restaurant, but the food rivals any in Jackson or the surrounding area and the service is great. They have a good wine list and decent selection of beer along with a full bar. We went on Wednesday night which was their Winesday all day bar special… half price wine by the glass. My guest and I shared the crab and avocado spring rolls which had the ability to be fried along with keeping the integrity of the fresh avocado and flaky crab. The two rolls were served with a sweet but tangy/spicy Asian dipping sauce which was delicious. My guest ordered the Mahi Mahi from the menu and I ordered the grouper special. The grouper was served over a bed of brown rice, topped with a crap cake and a butter cream sauce and served beside sauted zucchini. My guests Mahi Mahi was served over rice, topped with tomatoes, roasted corn and peppers in a butter cream sauce with jumbo lump crab. I tasted her dinner, and it was good, but my grouper special was the best. I didnt think I could eat it all since it was a large portion, but it was too good not to. The grouper was lightly sauted and the crab cakes had more flavor than most I have had before. I didnt think Id enjoy crab cakes on top of my fish, but it was delicious and complemented each perfectly. Even their sauted vegetables were better than any Ive had at restaurants. You could tell it was fresh and of course, seasoned perfectly.I am so glad I had the chance to eat at Strawberry Caf. We will definitely go there again. Their menu changes routinely and they always have specials available so youd never get bored with their menu even if you went once a week.

No Chicken??. Let me start by saying, the strawberry cafe has always been a choice for our family to celebrate special occasions, but we will not return. I have been eating here since Buddy and Corabell were serving Madison. Our last visit on a Monday night in April for a family birthday.. We had a party of 7 with kids 10 and 12. They have been coming here since they were in infant carriers. First off our server was horrible, she seemed young and new so we let the little things go. Ordered appetizers, drinks were very slow… Went to order my favorite smothered chicken, but at 6pm on a Monday night they were fresh out of chicken.what!! No chicken… Especially with kids no chicken? Kroger is around the corner… Okay I’ll get over it so I went to order the grouper… Out of that too…. Now I am not happy. Server could care less, no one came over to apologize. I have probably eaten here 1x per month for the last 6 years and hosted a meeting with my company in the private room in the back. I love to support the local community but this is ridiculous. I would have gone back if they would have apologized or comped a desert or something… My bill was over 200 bucks as well. Sorry Strawberry Cafe it was a nice run, but this train has left the depot.

As good as it gets.. This is the best in Madison in my opinion. We are lucky to have them in the Old Madison area. This side of town struggles on the restaurant side! So thank you guys for saving us!

We went for Sunday brunch and it was perfect. Great service and excellent food. I had oysters fried to perfection. My husband had the train wreck sandwich. Go there ASAP

Great Burger. The 6 oz. Depot Burger was one of, if not THE best burgers I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend.

Jackson’s best kept secret. Old railroad station. General Tso’s is the best ever but only available on random days?
