Over priced and over rated. $20 piece of tilapia, you could get a whole bag of for at Walmart. Dingy looking staff always fixing their hair or picking their nose. It’s disgusting. No selection either. And sexual harassment claims on the owner as well. Kristos down the street has a better selection and variety at a better price.
Would not recommend. I am allergic to peanuts and there wasnt anywhere disclosed on the menu if they cook with peanut oil. I then ask the the person serving me if they use peanut oil and they didnt even know! Way to run a restaurant! Im not the one to give a place a bad review but this place was not on top of their game!!!!
Very good food. The owner Bill is a very hospitable host. I recommend getting the redfish. All of the appetizers are tasty. I recommend getting the pita and hummus.
Great Disapointment. My wife and I love Greek food and decided to give this restaurant a try. To start, the dining area is in need of updating and needs a good cleaning. I hope the Kitchen is better kept. So let’s get to the food. The gyro tasted like spamBased on this visit, I will not be dining here again.
Poor service. Ordered from Vasilios for take-out recently. When we arrived to get our order, there was nobody to wait on us. Only four people staffing the entire restaurant. When the waitress finally could attend to us, there was not enough money in the cash register to make change. She had to go into her own money to make change. Not one of the remaining three would even acknowledge what was going on in the restaurant. We will not return to this restaurant.
3 for 3!. This was my third trip to Vasilios as I celebrated my 40th birthday! I love the atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you just feel that this is an authentic, local, down-to-earth place! I like how many people know one another and also know their servers very well! Our server was wonderful!The people I was with didn’t even need to look at the menu, and before our drink orders had been taken, our server brought us some delicious olives! The pacing was excellent from the delicious hummus appetizer to the salads! I love the bread they serve with the hummus – not being a Greek connoisseur, I’m not sure of the proper name, but it was warm and delicious with the hummus, which had a bit of a kick!Our salads were wonderful – and the Comeback Dressing is INCREDIBLE!I had the scallops and shrimp, which were prepared wonderfully – they had a delicious flavor! It’s hard to describe how they were prepared – it’s not any kind of sauce or butter, and they weren’t fried! I would guess they were done in a pan with a little butter and something very, very light coating on the outside! The scallops and shrimp were delectable – delicate – moist – absolutely delicious!!My only complaint – and it would be a small one – is the portions for the price! For a scallops and shrimp dish, I would expect to pay $20 (especially since this area is a distance from any kind of Coast), but to only get 4 shrimp, 4 scallops, and a few fries is a letdown in terms of portion size! I certainly wasn’t expecting typical Southern portions, but a happy medium would’ve been nice – at least a half-dozen of each!This is definitely a wonderful place to bring friends, to celebrate special occasions, or simply to come relax with a glass of wine or an appetizer or two!
