Late lunch lucky find !. Stopped about 1:30pm (late) on spur of the moment on a Thurs. What was left was still some of the best pan fried chicken in a long time, and liver & onions / rice & gravy, as well as assorted sides. I’ll return when passing thru again, just for those items.
I am a big fan of Tugus! It is small, local, and by no means fancy but they can cook a mean steak! When you find it (if you find it) you will probably want to turn around and leave but DON’T! Best kept secret around.
Home Cooking. Good cookin buffet style during the week for lunch. Get there early because around 1pm the pans start to get empty and they don’t put any more out since they close at 2pm after lunch. Wednesday is usually pork chop day, and they are huge and really good. They grill a really good Ribeye on Friday and Saturday night. The catfish is good, but the other seafood is just fair in my opinion large portions but somewhat lacking in seasoning, which I am finding more and more is the normal way of cooking seafood locally and I don’t know why. The owners are very friendly folks and make you feel at home.
