Thought we found our new place!. Went here two weeks ago to try them out. Decent portions and average service. The sushi was fresh and we enjoyed ourselves. We usually would order takeout from Wasabi down the road until their portion size dropped and the service really fell off the map. So I tried to order takeout from here tonight. I was put on hold for exactly 10 minutes so I hung up. When I try to call back I get the busy signal. It’s been 35 minutes since I tried to order and they still don’t realize I was on the line! So the search continues for a sushi restaurant in Ocean Springs with compitant employees!
This is by far my favorite Sushi place. I have been a customer here for over 10 years. All the rolls are great. The Green dragon roll is one of my favorite. The fried calamari is unmatched.
Small little place at the end of government street. Location is in a great area and food is good. It is a little more pricey but I like the atmosphere and it is BYOB so that makes it a trade off I suppose with the money you’d save from buying alcohol from a bar.

But, Chef Scott’s is perfect! All of the flavors and textures compliment each otjer perfectly! It is now my favorite restaurant!!!

My fave!!!. I LOVE this place!!!! Unlike many sushi places, the sushi here is not oversized and stuffed. The portions are good but it’s the lovely way the ingredients compliment each other with just the right amount really enhancing the flavor of the food. It truly is an art. I found myself skipping the dipping sauce on my appetizers & didn’t use soy sauce at all! The place is tiny so get there early at peak dining hours if you don’t want to wait. However, if you have to wait– stick around, because it’s worth it.
Love, love, love the sushi and love the chefs, but really dislike the wait staff. They’re snobby, rude, and unattentive. They need a reality check… You are only a waitress, not a princess. You need our tips to survive. Byob is awesome. Bring yourself a nice bottle of wine without paying restaurant price. It only sucks that the restaurant occupancy is only like 30-40. So people will just sit there and relax as if Chef Scott doesn’t need turn-over rates in his restaurant.
