Do not recommend. The food sucked, especially the fries, you would think at lwast their service would be good, it also sucked, the waitress had a bad attitude and barely anknowledged our existence. One of my friends spilled her drink on the table and the waitress left it on our table until the very end when she came to get the bill back. The pile of ice sat on the table for a good 2 hours.
Charming bar and restaurant. I live in Mobile, AL and came to watch a friends band play. The venue is cozy and welcoming. The staff was unbelievably friendly, even staff not on the clock were happily helpful. Had the wings and hummus which were delicious. Bar is stocked nicely. I can’t wait to return to try more of the menu.
We go here nearly every Thursday after the local 5k…absolutely love this place! Great bar food and beer, but I think what keeps me coming back is the top notch service every single time. Same people seem to work Thurs nights and they are awesome 🙂 they are quick and our beers stay full
Sit on the patio if you don’t like smoke. Shrimp and fries were great. I don’t normally eat Tatar sauce, but theirs was fantastic.
Great Food Fun Place. I think the Government Street Grocery’s food is great. It’s underrated as a restaurant in my opinion. The spicy roast beef wrap is a fantastic creation and hard to deviate from, but when I do the Grocery Burger is amazing (sans the spicy mustard) and the Dirty South (I think is the name of it) is awesome. It’s a sandwich that you dip in brown gravy which as you could imagine is flippin awesome.
Stopped by at 11:05 on a Thursday expecting some good food. Music playing loud on the inside but door locked. Waited a minute door still locked. Fed up, went next door to Z and had a great Reuben. Too bad for them.
