Pho for the Soul. Not sure if there was a rough opening at this location, see other reviews. But I adore this spot, great pho, fresh herbs, huge portion. I go by myself to unwind and let the richness of the soup broth take me to Vietnam. Voning is the server and matriarch here, she treats me like a spoiled favorite child. The french coffee and Thai tea are a must! Go that’s all. Cheers!
Kim Long 2. I have ate at kim long for many years before kim long 2 opened. Granted everything is not perfect all the time. They have never had no problems with taking care of what I thought was wrong or by offering me a different dish. Even at times left my name and number to speak to the owner and tell her how her food was or was not on my visits. She has always called me back. I really wish people would take the time to speak to the owner or management before bashing a place without giving the business a proper chance to hear what might have gone wrong on a visit as I have. A lot of management changes have been made for the better. Maybe you guys that had a bad experience should come back in and give kim long and kim long 2 another chance.
Love it !!!. When ever I want Pho I call in my order and Mark is always prompt. When dinning in My kids love to come here as well .Its a regular place for us .One of my daughters is a picky eater sometimes and They went over and beyond for her .Waitress knew the menu and recommended something she may like and so she did .Great place great prices
Awful!. My date and I arrived two hours before closing, which I think was our mistake. Apparently, the daiquiri place, which shares space with the restaurant, turns into a night club after a certain hour. The atmosphere was terrible. They were blaring music and had body guards on the premises, which made me feel uneasy. The cook seemed to be in a permanently bad mood and the waitress acted as if she was just ready for her shift to be over. I guess I can’t blame them. I had Seafood Pho and it was probably the most awful pho experience I’ve had in my life. The shrimp were rubbery and the broth had a foul odor. My date ordered a beef dish, which he said was pretty bad. Seriously, skip this place.
NOT HAPPY. I used to eat at this restaurant two to three times a month. Not so much anymore. The food is not consistent in taste. I stick with a few different dishes but they never taste the same. The food is not the reason I will not be going back to this restaurant. I believe the cook there will push more customers out the door. I have witnessed him yell, belittle and harass the waitress we had over the past few weeks. Friday night (7-12-13) was the last night we will show our faces in this establishment. He has succeeded in getting rid of us. I can’t believe this young lady has stayed there and put up with this bully. If there is a problem in a business you don’t bring it out for customers to witness. This young man has no respect for anybody. I commend the waitress for her diplomacy and not dropping down to this bully’s level. I hope the owner appreciates the good service this young lady has shown to us and the other customers that probably won’t return there either.
Used to be my favorite Thai on the coast, but has really gone downhill in the past 6 months. My last 2 orders have been very hot, but without the balanced sweet flavor of curry one would expect. Very disappointing and I won’t be back.
I won’t be back. I got the Bamboo lunch special. I’ve never tasted Thai food like this before (and certainly not in Thailand). It was supposed to be flavored with basil and Thai chili sauce. I saw one very tiny sprig of basil and a few flecks of red but no flavor at all. Just a thick, brown sauce that tasted of soy sauce and MSG. I asked for some basil (and they brought out a nice big plate). Then I added it to my dish plus some Thai chili sauce that was on the table. But there was not getting around that thick brown sauce. The soup was delicious and my shrimp was good but still, I won’t be going back.
