Hidden gem. Torta Dolce Bakery is a bakery right on 90, in Ocean Springs. They have amazing baked goods! They are amazing people that run it as well. They offer beignets during morning hours (and the caramel apple ones are to die for). In my short visit to the Biloxi/Ocean Spring I stopped here a dozen times.
On a cold Halloween morning I faced the drudgery of the day with soup. The potato corn soup is close to a chowder, very creamy. There is a hint of chili peppers on the soup to give a spicy after taste. I will face the day with a warm full stomach. I had toast with my soup.30 Oct, 2012Fabulous, fresh hot chicken soup on a cold Fall day! Not spicy and had two pieces of Italian toast. It has rice, mushroom, chicken and is very creamy. It was fresh and hot! Very enjoyable!!
I picked up an assortment of small bits this morning and I was highly disappointed. The cheesecakes were atrocious both in appearance and taste. Not one item was edible. Waste of money!!

I recently stumbled on this little bakery in OS. I was very impressed by their selection and especially enjoyed their stuffed beignets. I highly recommend this bakery.
Look elsewhere for beignets. The beignets are small and they were crispy and hollow…it honestly was like a cracker with powdered sugar on it…nothing that we have tried there has been spectacular and the prices are through the ROOF!!
They won’t last long. I was so excited when I first heard that an italian bakery had opened in Ocean Springs. I was expecting all kinds of delicious treats, but was so dissapointed. I went there with my daughter for the fresh beniets that have several days a week. Well it certainly wasn’t Cafe du monde by a long shot. Disappointing to say the least. We shared an oreder of beniets which consists of 3, but left one behind, it just wasn’t worth eating. Also tried a blueberry scone and praline biscotti, neither was very good. The most suprising thing was how little the have to offer. They have two display cases with almost nothing in them. I don’t know how they have even remained open this long. They don’t even have tradional italian cookies, and didn’t have out even one loaf of bread and we were there shortley after they opened. I will never return and I hope that someone opens a real italian bakery in OS someday.
