I loved everything about this place except the service. It was just me and my boyfriend and no more than 1 other customer the entire time we were there, yet our waitress did not come back to our table after she brought us our food. We each had a water and coffee that were never refilled. The drinks sat empty on the edge of our table well before we were done with our meal while in plan view of our waitress. I don’t understand why this happened, and I was very disappointed because the coffee was insanely delicious. I would not discourage anyone from going here, but just know that the service is a toss up.
Food is wonderful but service is not. I have never been and had good service-even when they are not busy. Went one time and sat there for 30 minutes without being waited on, needless to say we left.
Best Brunch in Town. I’m not new to brunch by any means, but today I ate at Lusa for the first time with a friend and my whole opinion on the meal changed. We got to the restaurant around 10:30am, and were hoping we could order off the lunch menu for some sandwiches. Even though the lunch menu didn’t start until 11am, the waitress was very friendly and let us order it early. We both ate the chicken salad sandwiches, and they were absolutely delightful. The bread was great and obviously homemade, and the chicken salad featured some fresh apples. We ordered sides of the hashbrown casserole as our sides, and I think it’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten in Oxford. On top of that, the iced tea was phenomenal. I’d also like to mention that there was a wide assortment of pastries and sweets there, as well. We didn’t get a chance to try any because we were pressed for time, but it is definitely something we’ll go back for. If you like a good salty and sweet brunch (or even lunch or breakfast) check out Lusa. You’ll be glad you did.
