Yummy yummy sushi in perfect portions at the right price. One of my favorite places. I’m not a fan of the miso soup, and I’ve rarely gotten anything but sushi there, but the sushi is enough to keep me coming back.
Food is good as usual. Service on the other hand is the worst I have ever seen!!! Last two times we have been in here they have forgotten our soup. This time it took almost an hour for our food. Look man this is a place with 6 tables!!! Can’t get a refill on drinks no one checks on you through out your meal. Hate to say it but will not be back anytime soon. Again good food but the worst service I have ever had in my life.
Fatsumo has normal sized, not gigantic to the point that it’s impossible to fit the whole roll in your mouth, unique sushi rolls. The smiley roll is my favorite! The restaurant is very cozy and extremely laid back. The waitstaff is very friendly too.
Unbelievable. Absolutely consistent. Excellent quality. Fatsumo is the best sushi place anywhere around. It is a true gem of a coast restaurant. You absolutely cannot beat the service. Staff is so welcoming. If I were facing a firing squad, my last meal may come from Fatsumo and they will have to serve up the Yokzuna Tuna appetizer and the Electric Eel Roll
Way over priced. I should have known, being a first time guest, when at 12;30 on a saturday afternoon the place was empty. I had a 4 piece sashimi, which was good. A spicy tuna roll, which was not so good. The rice had a gooey, pasty, thick consistency that I have never come across in a roll. Then they were so loosely rolled that I had to use my fingers because they were falling apart. The rice really just seemed to hit my gag reflexes for some reason. I believe it was fresh, just the consistency was off. I also had a bowl of miso soup. $21.00 for lunch? Are you serious? ($25.00 with tip) That is almost double for most high end sushi bars that have lunch menus. I thought the smaller menu I was given may have been. My bad for not computing prices in my head. But then again, I was no informed of any lunch specials. Maybe weekdays are different? Anyway. Way too expensive for lunch any day of the week. That price is a high end seafood meal on a saturday night. Wont be back. I work too hard for my money!
Great Sushi. I order the Smiley Roll and it was amazing. Fresh fish with great texture and crunch with avacado. Great Roll
Not Happy. Called in an order to pick up the Jamaican Me Crazy Roll for lunch. It was ready when I got there 15 mins after placing the order (the only plus). When I opened the bag the soy sauce cup had spilled all in the bag! From pure luck the plastic bag did not break and spill all in my car!! Opened the sushi and it smelled fishy (which it didn’t even have raw fish in it), ate a roll and it was too warm and tasted spoiled. Inspected it and the avocado had black spots, mango was not fresh and it was so nasty I had to throw it away which cost me $11.77 for 8 small rolls I couldn’t even eat. Will not go back because there was nothing fresh about that roll.
