I seldom go to Laurel, but recently I had some business to attend too. I was there around noon and decided to take in lunch at Cafe la Fleur after reading the positive comments here. One thing I did not notice and was not brought up until after our orders were made is that they do not take any sort of credit or debit cards. So I had to leave the restaurant and Mrs. Foodblogger and head out to find an ATM machine to get some cash. In 2015, this is pretty much un-acceptable. Quality of food goes into any review but the overall dining experience is a big part too. Having to leave the resturant and go find an ATM, none were close, then come back was a major hassle and will prevent me from ever returning to dine here again. On to our meal. I ordered a Buchaneer Roastbeef sandwich with fries, my wife ordered their Club Sandwich. Both sandwiches were average. I had gravy with mine and the gravy was not very good it was a pre-made mix and not very good. The roast beef itself was nice as was the artisan bun.My wife reported her club was good, but it was dry, not much mayo. The most redeeming value of the meal was a very, very sweet little waitress who was very attentive and you could tell as she apologized that they often have issues with the no plastic policy.
