Chocolate/Strawberry Cake. A fabulous cake with strawberry buttercream icing between the chocolate layers! This cake was a big hit at a birthday party. Everyone loved it!!! It is expensive, but if you want to ‘throw down’ on something special, this is the place!!!!
After reading the other reviews, I obviously just had a bad experience. I ordered the salad with vegetables and grilled chicken. When the salad was served , the chicken was not fully cooked. (red streaks in the center) I showed it to the server and he took the salad back to fix it. When salad returned, the chicken was done but was served on the same greens as before. Can you say cross contamination? Not a healthy practice in my opinion.
A Gem!. My husband and I walked in here the other day on a whim because we had to wait in the area for 20 min. SO I was hunting for some hot chocolate. We stepped into this cute little bakery and were thrilled to look up and see a large number of lunch choices…along with the hot chocolate:)I ordered the Egg Salad Sandwich on white and it was fantastic! The bread was fluffy and delicious and they filled it generously with egg salad that I thought was superb! My husband got a turkey bacon ranch or was it chicken?…on a croissant. It was a nice big sandwich too and was tasty. We did not try any of the cakes or anything like that but will definitely go back!! I was so happy we stumbled upon this place and was just sad we had not been in before!
I absolutely love this place! Every cake I’ve gotten there (4) was wonderful! They tasted so good and looked so pretty. They put so much effort into them! Anyone who needs a cake should defiantly go there! Their lunch is also very good. Always so fresh and I love there breads. Beautiful place, great service, lovely people and always Yummy cakes, sandwiches and all there other little goodies. Thank you brown baguette! Your Customer for life Haley 🙂
I love the wedding cake from Brown Baguette! The cake design was elegant and it taste just right! I ordered the European vanilla and strawberry cake and got a lot of compliments from my guests.
Delicious. The cafe is friendly and quiet, with excellent sandwiches and pastries. Karen is so creative, and yet, has such humility. Her cakes are absolutely incredible…she made a Bear Bryant hat cake for my daughter, a student at University of Alabama. It was so perfect, that we had a difficult time cutting it…glad we did, because it was delicious!
Amazing Taste & Beautifully Made. I have now purchased two different cakes from Brown Baguette and both have been absolutely amazing! First cake I had made was a Phineas & Ferb themed birthday cake done for my son’s 6th birthday party. We had a concept to create a multi-level backyard cake with 4 different scenes to include the different characters from the show. It turned out amazing! Not only was the design better than I expected, but everyone agreed the taste was phenomenal. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work and size of the cake, as it was HUGE and everything was edible (but the characters I provided). My next purchase was for my soon to be sister-in-law’s bachelorette party/lingerie party, we had a corset cake made and it was absolutely to die for. Almost no one wanted to cut into the cake as it just was TOO CUTE! But of course it looked too delious so who could turn it down. This was a strawberry cake and the taste, again, was spectacular. I highly recommend this bakery. They are very easy to work with, the cakes not only taste amazing but they look just as good. Both times I’ve had my expectations exceeded. I will post pictures soon. I will definitely be using this bakery for all my events and anything else I can come up with to order a cake or other bakery needs! If you are needing a bakery you can trust to make a cake or other bakery items that the taste is just as good as the design, this is definitely the place to use!
