This place is GREAT!. I LOVE The Cake Lady Bakery, the NEW OWNER, and all the helpful friendly employees. I got an assortment of goodies, cake balls, cake pops, cupcakes, for a baby shower and all of them were delicious, beautiful, and reasonably priced. The customer service was great, everyone is anxious to help you get exactly what you want for your event. The location is great, just across from the hospital, ample parking, no traffic headaches. Southaven has a gem of a bakery. Thanks The Cake Lady Bakery!

Great experience. Ordered my son’s 4th of July BIrthday cake,by phone,,,sent in picture of what I wanted..it was beautiful In fact it was the prettiest cake he has had in his 33 years and it tasted great too.
I ordered my husband a TIKI cake…and on the phone the young man was wonderful to work with…I went and picked out the photo of how I wanted it to look and again…great service. BUT when I picked up the cake I was sorely disappointed. Not only was it smaller than I expected but the price was $76.00 (for a sheet cake cut down). Then at dinner that night it was so dry…and nothing but fondant!! YUCK!!Sorry you lost all my business!!
Crummy customer service. I did not complete my order for two birthday cakes after being subjected to crummy, no pun intended of course, customer service. the young woman who answered the phone was lovely, and had she been assisting me further upon arrival at the bakery, i most likely would have completed the order with no issue. however, after arriving with my cake specifics and photos, the cake lady herself, shelley, started taking my order which soon began to decline the experience. when you are about to purchase almost $150 worth of cakes, you expect to be treated with a certain level of respect. she is condescending and needs to hone her customer service skills to a level that allows her to charge the pricing she does. i am all for paying more than walmart prices, but i would hope the service and attitude would match much more than a walmart experience. once i did a little more research online, i discovered negative review after negative review on the service as well as the cakes themselves so no sweat off my back. i actually baked the cakes myself complete with my own homemade fondant, and they turned out to be a hit with the birthday boy. unfortunately, there are not many up stand alone bakeries in the area, and most i have seen have sloppy work. so if anyone has some suggestions, i would love to hear them. otherwise, i’ll keep doing the baking myself.
