I was traveling and stopped here because I’ve eaten at a few of these locations in different places and always enjoyed On the Border, so this restaurant was a huge disappointment. Service is very slow here, my food was brought to me lukewarm. Brought my soup out along with my meal and then didn’t even give me a spoon to eat it with until I asked. Then I paused eating for a moment to respond to a message on my phone and the waitress showed up and started to take my plate assuming I was finished eating. I could see some of this if it was a busy night, but it was pretty empty in there…I guess now I know why.
Endless Tacos…ENDLESS BLAH!!. Well, after watching the commercials… I thought I would take a chance and try On the Border’s endless Tacos. This was the WORST money I ever spent!! The food was NASTY. I tried the chicken taco, the beef taco and the barbocoa taco…all three misses!! Weird enough the beef tasted like Prairie Belt Sausages. Why would you say Mexican Grill and you do not cook fresh food but prefer to use a microwave?? I would advise anyone and everyone NOT to eat here. The food does not have any flavor…horrible does not describe it. I know for a fact, I will never forget the taste. If I could build a time machine I would go back and go to Fiesta Grill. Take heed to my warning…Don’t you dare go there and sacrifice your time and money or you will face the TACO GODS!!!!!
They make the best spicy bloody Marys!! I love their salsa it beats the salsa anywhere else.
Plain corporate atmosphere with over priced frozen not fresh food. If you’re looking for some great Mexican food, burgers, wings, or BBQ nachos go right down the street. Maria’s has better food and drinks. And they have room for parties and always have the game of your pick if you looking to watch sports. On the border is over rated.
Delicious food. Horrible service. Plan on waiting ten minutes minimum to get a table simply because there is no hostess at the front desk
Fantastic service from the server staff. I love the Southwest Chicken Tacos. Best Happy Hour in town. 2 for 1 house margaritas (and they are strong) and drafts from 11-7. Also, 1/2 price appetizers in the bar from 3-7.
I have been to this location on several occasions for work meetings. It was a usual occurance to not be greeted or seated as no one is typically at the host desk. We also have a running bet who will get the wrong meal or no meal period. Service is mediocre at best. Go to Casa Mexicana instead.
