Spent our 10yr anniversary at this amazing restaurant. Meal was fabulous! Steak melts in your mouth! Grits were awesome! Had a wonderful waitstaff and beautiful dining area. Will be back.
This was the perfect choice as the last meal before heading out of town. I greatly enjoyed the selection of entrees for the Sunday brunch. If you have this opportunity, choose the gumbo and grits with the coffee. For a refreshing treat on a otherwise humid day ask for the mango/coconut sorbet.
This is a can’t miss if you are in Vicksburg!! Excellent food, friendly waitstaff all in a beautifully restored antebellum home. The asparagus bisque is excellent, as is the house salad. A little pricey, but worth every penny. The desserts are heavenly, so save room!! Don’t forget to get a tour of the home before you go– the owner is incredibly friendly, and is always happy to give guests a personal tour.
Awesome. Anchuca is consistently delicious. I have been 5 or 6 times for brunch/lunch, and the asparagus bisque is incredible! Their fruit is always fresh and everything they serve tastes great. The owner is very friendly and the servers are always very nice and accommodating. The setting is beautiful, they always have good music in the background, and if you feel so inclined, you can take a little tour of the house. A great place to go for a relaxing, nice meal; if you’re just visiting; or if you want to impress someone! Highly recommended!
Outstanding – The Best in Town. Anchuca is simply the best meal in town. Its only rivals are Roca and DJs, but Anchuca has better service and better atmosphere. It is small and quaint in a historic old home. The menu is limited but I’ve never had a bad meal. One of the best dinner salads I’ve ever had. The Catfish and Shrimp Florentine is very good, and I love the cheese grits. Save room for the Bonzo cake which is to die for (I’m not kidding)! I’m told lunch is great too. They are not open Sun – Tues.
From beginning to end, I could not, for the life of me, pick out a single thing wrong with this restaurant. The service was impeccable! Every course came out quickly and was timed just right. Our server treated us like family without being overbearing and waited on our every whim. The Filet Mignon that my fianc had was cooked better than any five-star steakhouse that I’ve ever been to, you could literally cut it with a fork and it was still very moist inside. This was THE BEST birthday meal that I’ve ever had!
Great little place to eat!. My in-laws took my family to this restaurant for lunch one day on a whim. The setting was very private, and much like a large comfortable, well-appointed, dining room. The food was top-notch and would compare well to any restaurant in a big city. The waiter was polite and efficient, and the experience was great. The lunch menu ran around $15 a head, but was well worth the cost. One of my favorite places in Vicksburg.
