This was my first time trying Goldies although I have driven past it for years.I have to say I’m quite disappointed. The men’s restroom was very dirty looking and unclean. In my opinion, that is inexcusable being a small family restaurant. The fork in one of our silverware servings had a clump of dried macaroni on it. The barbecue beef sandwich was mediocre at best. The portions were generous but it was slathered in barbecue sauce, way too much. The beans tasted straight out of the can. Nothing special here at all.
WORST Bar-B-Que EVER.. This restaurant should be ashamed to call themselves a BBQ restaurant & to charge the prices they do.I got a Sliced Brisket plate and there was so much FAT that I couldn’t eat it. It was sliced very thin but It was DROWNED in BBQ sauce. Any restaurant that serves WET brisket is HIDING something. There was an inch of Fat drippings in the bottom of my dish. TOTALLY GROSS. The beans were straight out of a CAN. YUCK!!!!The coleslaw was DRY and basically just shredded cabbage and carrots. Essentially, everything that should have been dry was wet and everything that should be wet was dry. I will NEVER EVER eat there again. I will definitely drive to West Monroe, LA to eat at BBQ West instead……
Third and Final Time. The first time I ate here was in 2010. At that time, I thought Goldie’s was excellent. I didn’t have any again until last year, and it was terrible– dry meat and the sauce was nasty (I got the pulled pork both times). I tried Goldie’s again last month. I though that maybe my bad experience was a fluke. I ordered the BBQ 3 meat plate. The pork was cut deli-style and everything was cold. The sauce was still terrible. Will never eat here again.
Is not really what I consider BBQ. It’s more like a diner but colder and not very comfortable. The service was great but that’s about it. My wife and I couldn’t tell the brisket from the pork and the sauce didn’t have much going for it. The desert was the typical Sysco frozen pre-made pie. We will not be returning.

This place was good. Quick service, friendly staff. We were a little apprehensive about going after reading the reviews, but we gave it a shot anyhow. Glad we did! We went in on a Friday night, not a big crowd, were in and out. Would eat there again next time we drive through Mississippi.
This place has gone down. You simply cannot serve cold food. That and the server messed the order up. Good sauce though.
