What a great find! We happened upon this gem when our original lunch plans fell through and I’m so glad we did. Really friendly folks behind the counter, tons of cool artifacts to feast ones eyes upon as satisfyingly as one fills ones belly. The catfish platter is darn good eatin’ and you get a nice big meal for the price. It looks deceiving from the outside and you might even doubt that the place even sells food but don’t be fooled- it’s in there and it’s delicious so don’t pass it up!
Great place for Friday lunch. Great place for lunch, especially on Friday when they have fried catfish over rice, covered in a creamy, crawfish, cajun sauce. Add 2 vegetables, roll or cornbread, and a drink for $9.50. It was outstanding. TGIF.
Very good southern meal!. Fried pork chop, Mac and cheese, turnip greens, corn, and corn bread! This place is a must!
The Klondike was great! Great food! We had cheeseburgers and fries–really good burger and the best fries I’ve ever eaten. The owners are very friendly and nice folks!

You have to try it!. The hamburger is just perfect, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is terrific. The Klondyke is located across the street from a natural bayou and the place has a rich history. They are known for their fried chicken and you will not be disappointed.
