Yummm. This was a quick decision to try this place on our way back home. very good sandwich. hit the spot. not too heavy, or greasy. just a perfect size.
Martin’s at Midtown was a pleasant surprise lunch stop on the way back to Dallas. The food was excellent and the service was very welcoming and attentive. Our party of five sampled the Cuban and grilled pimento/tomato sandwiches; the seafood, coleslaw, pea and potato salads; the Rotel cheddar and creamy tomato basil soups; AND the carrot and chocolate peanut butter and Bundt cakes. ALL of these were delicious…highly recommend this easy-to-reach spot off I-20.
FANTASTIC!!!. Breads made on site. Amazing sandwiches. Incredible beer selection. Locally owned and operated. Individual deserts made on site. Fun people. Comfortable space inside and on outside patios. Love love love this place!!!
I love Martins at Midtown! Sandwiches are great, and so are their soups! They also offer a lot more than food, like wine and beer tastings.
Great Neighborhood Venue. Martin’s At Midtown is ‘Cheers’ Mississippi style. It’s a ‘y’all come on down and sit a spell’ kind of place. There are no strangers here. Owners John and Lisa, along with their wait staff and bartenders, are quick to make you feel at home. The food is delicious and inventive – lots of experimentation – so some dishes are killers, and some are a work in progress. The menu changes constantly, as does the list of great local and national brews on draft – it’s a beer geek’s paradise. The Cruvinet always features 8 great reds and 8 great whites, so wine drinkers are NOT left out. If you are in town, it’s worth a visit, and if you live here, what are you waiting for – come on down.
The sandwiches have too much cheese, so they tend to get a little soggy and greasy when grilled. However, the soup is always good (especially the smoked Gouda soup), and they have the largest selection of wine and beer of any casual dining restaurant in town.
Food Critic. I don’t know who told these people they could cook…but they need to find a different venue. The food is awful..they try to copy Food network and instead of delicious tasting food they get these weird combinations that are to strange for words. The service is slow and they seem to have a set group of people they cater to and the rest of the customers are left wondering why they walked into the place. I will keep looking for something else better..they will not get my service.
