First of all, Roca is downtown now in a beautiful old building. Good and reasonable wine list and the service atmosphere and food were first rate. We are foodies and wine people, and our meal was on a par with any high end restaurant we’ve ever eaten in. That we were on our way home from New Orleans and this restaurant was hands down the best we found all week says plenty. My husband had salmon and green beans perfectly cooked and I had the craw dad and spinach penne in a perfect creamy creole sauce. No room for dessert, sadly. Lindsay was an awesome wait person and everyone was friendly and attentive.
I can ‘t do the cheese grits again… I’ve tried twice, and I swear they’re old McDonald’s hash browns. I’ve got a MUCH better recipe I think would be perfect for Roca. But then, I’m no chef. However, this is my and my wife’s new favorite steak place! I don’t think the filet can be beat anywhere, and we’ve been ranging from Memphis to Florida for 24 years together. The vegetables and potatoes are always A1 as well. Terrific food and a great family or couple atmosphere.
So I went here for the first time tonight and got the ribeye. I know this sounds clich, but this was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Usually when I hear someone say something like that, I roll my eyes. People tend to overuse that phrase. But seriously, this was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The temperature was perfect, the glase was amazing. Great cut of meat as well. Can’t say enough good things about my visit. I’m getting the filet next time.

Magical gastronomic experience! This place is awesome! Loved the oysters with collared greens and black eyed peas but shrimp & grits were simply amazing! We returned for succulent fried chicken which was beyond delicious. Service is first class and my pocketbook was only slightly dented.

My husband and I were passing through Vicksburg when we were recommended to eat at Roca. It was the best experience of my life! The food is absolutely delicious, no matter what you order. Though I do recommend the filet. And the service was perfect!! Roca has put all other restaurants to shame in my book. Keep up the amazing work guys!!
