How Could I Have Missed This Place?. I’ve lived in the Kansas City metro area most of my life and have tried many, MANY of Kansas City’s BBQ joints….some good, some not so good. But I had no idea this little place in downtown Belton, Missouri even existed until we happened upon it while attending a carshow in Belton on old Main Street. My Oh MY!!! The ribs are to DIE for. The pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top was among the very best I’ve ever tasted. And the fries are handcut right in the restaurant…NOT out of a bag. It’s not a fancy place, but if you long for the good ol’ days of pit BBQ in a down-home atmosphere you GOTTA try it.
Pretty good BBQ. Carolina sandwich was good. Burnt ends were tender, a bit too smokey, and brisket is thick cut and tender as well. Almost like smoked pot roast. Cheesy corn needed salt and has Jalapeos in it giving it them a strong Jalapeo flavor. Beans were peppery but sweet. I’d go back.
The owners are a joke & completely rude, sorry I’m trying to support your business by eating there but it won’t happen again. I’ve been there a few times they are always rude and have double charged me before. The food isn’t that great, it’s just close to home I will be making the longer drive somewhere else.
Love this place. Food is great. My favorite is the pulled pork/sausage combo sandwich. Their sausage is fantastic. Would be nice if they had a ligher portion lunch menu so I don’t feel like crap when I go back to work. Their meals are very large portioned. I go there 1-2 times a week. If you want good flavors, large portions and a joint that is very consistant from day to day I recommend this place.
Their food is very good with good sized portions. They are somewhat pricey and the level of friendliness from the staff is something that needs fixed
Yum!!. 1st time visit, smelled it on the way to kids’ softball practice and vowed to try it out. Sure glad I did! We had the pulled pork, the Carolina, and a burger w/fries. Pork was amazing, slaw was nice and tart, and my daughter said the burger was the best she’d ever had. Only had two fries because the Carolina was that awesome, but they tasted good. Will definitely go back.Do have to agree with some previous reviews–what’s with the women behind the counter? The man was friendly as could be, even brought out a special seasoning for me to try, but the woman hardly spoke and had a look on her face. Doesn’t matter, won’t keep me from coming back again.
