The first thing I noticed was that the establishment is understaffed. They are very friendly, but because of the lack of staff, sushi was not available. Also, they charge extra for fried rice. $2 while that is not a large amount of money, it is still odd that a hibachi place charges extra for that. It just wasn’t a great experience food wise.
Andrew boteurf’s review needs to be deleted. Turns out the young and is very malicious and mad when his little girly friend told him he was a piece of crap at the restaurant. Shogun is not franchised, does had a lot of fish on its menu, and doesn’t need hateful kids leaving reviews. Boteurf, stay home little boy10 Mar, 2013I really like to eat at the shogun when I can. The food is freshly and the service is good. The staff are all really nice people and make you feel wanted and pleased. I am not a harsh critic, and I don’t need to be at this place. The majority of the workers are really educated, which I appreciate because they treat me with the respect I like to get when I go out. My favorite order is a steak and shrimp combo, but truly, there is not much on the menu that I do not like. As for price, I have discovered recently that the shogun is actually in the low average cost for a fine dining restaurant in branson, mo. It is located away from the busy, one lane 76 strip, and closer to the table rock lake dam. This restaurant is my choice too go to. I hope you go and have an enjoyable dinnertime.
Very disappointed after all the positive reviews. There were 2 people working, a waitress and a cook. They were shocked when we just wanted sushi and were told the cook was backed up when they had only one other table. All the sushi was variations of crab, cucumber, and avocado. The tempura Philadelphia role tasted like cream cheese fried in corn dog batter. I’ve never left a review and wanted to tell
Great service. Wonderful staff. Best shogun. Homemade sauces and seasoning. A little different from typical shogun food but it makes it much better! Eat here EVERY VISIT to Branson. Not terribly busy so you get quality service and don’t feel rushed. All around wonderful.
We ate at the Shogun Hibachi Grill on 165 and the food and cook were excellent! I got the steak and chicken. The flavor of the chicken was superb.My wife got the shrimp and lobster and it was excellent also. The cook put on a great show for the kids and we will visit one more time before we leave Branson.I would recommend this place to eat.For a family of 4 with a couple of adult beverages it cost around $95.00 plus tip.
Good food, good service will return again and again. The shogun restaurant that is by the welk resort in branson serves up some really tasty food. The amount of food put on our plates was really a lot and it was really nice to have it immediately put on our plates from the grill. My favorite is the shrimp, my husband likes the combos….usually steak and shrimp….but has also ordered the tuna which is really good, as well. We were cooked for by a new cook who they said got a four year degree in a cooking school some years back. He really cooked a good meal. The service was really good and very attentive, as usual.
Not great, but pretty good. Would go again. Had filet and shrimp combo and split with my husband. We added a side of rice and this was plenty of food. Very friendly staff.
