We just had a fabulous lunch. Four of us all had different items and all were very satisfied. I had the RLT with egg and cheese on sourdough bread, yum!! Our server dawn was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable and atmosphere was pleasant. We highly recommend.
Great atmosphere. Good place for game day – drinks were good. Pot roast was insanely good. My hubs didn’t like the fish tacos – otherwise rating would have been higher. I would recommend.
Been here twice now and it’s usually mid afternoon and we strictly come here for the scotch eggs. Boiled egg, wrapped in sausage then Panko bread crumbs and deep fried and honey mustard sauce to dip it in.
This place had the worst Irish stew I have ever tried. Not sure what made it Irish, it was just bad beef stew. Potatoes were not cooked and hardly had any meat in it. The fish and chips were just ok, could have had better at a fast food joint. The only good thing about my visit here has the pumpkin ale!
Before coming to Waxy Osheas, we stopped in at Big Whiskey across the way. There we were not met with wait staff so we left. Once at Waxys we noticed BW wait staff on the patio nesting and smoking glad we came to Waxys. The scotch eggs were awesome and service excellent.
Horrible service, good Irish stew.. If you can get waited on at all, it’s a miracle. We come for the Irish Stew which is good, but the last time I was there I got bread with my stew that clearly had a bite taken out of it! I pointed this out at the table and didn’t even get an apology, just an offer for more! Amazingly poor service. Somebody teach these servers, please!
Inflexible, wouldn’t provide simple desert, ice cream for my kids on 3-9-15 , even though they were open 2 more hours for alcohol. I can’t wait until Big Whiskeys opens–a (local) Springfield run restaurant, 30 feet away. Bartender inflexible, rude.
