We live the Bandana’s in Springfield, MO. I’ll never get the chicken tenders again! Just nasty, thin pressed chicken that was over cooked. The side salad was sad and old. Wasn’t impressed with the service either. I left hungry. 🙁
This place had excellent ribs, fried okra, and Texas toast! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Consistently Good–and Boiled Peanuts. Consistent BBQ—it’s not the American Royal, but still very tasty. Plus, it’s the only place in town where you can get boiled peanuts. An obvious choice for all things southern BBQ!
Their BBQ is not exceptional. Their fries and fried corn on the cob are awesome. Everything was greasy, even by BBQ joint standards. Not horrible, but not excellent.
BEST BBQ in St Joe!. Bandana’s BBQ is delicious! Try the ribs (OMG!), the BBQ Salad with pulled pork, the sausage (get a combo plate so you can really enjoy a variety of flavors)-very good food all around! Try the potato salad-it’s fantastic! Good wait staff, no smoking (which is bizarre, given that the place smells like a bonfire!).
The best BBQ in town. Bandana’s serves up some great BBQ. They have some great food there and the fried corn is awesome. The only thing on the menu that I can say I didn’t like was the boiled peanuts ( Which I have been told is a southern delicacy) The here are okay but what really stands out is the amazing pork, chicken, and sausage (The sausage is killer). I have never a dish there that was dry and you tend to run into a lot of dry meats In restaurants where they hand smoke their meats especially in poultry (I find a lot of Famous Dave’s meat is very dry). Like any good BBQ place they have a nice gauntlet of various sauces ranging from mustard base to vinegar. Overall I think Bandana’s is one of the best BBQ restaurants in town
