A very underwhelming experience. I absolutely love hole in the wall places. So when I heard of this place I was fairly excited and got nothing but good reviews. So today I went in there and ordered The Pastrami sandwich a Deli classic off the menu ( Pastrami on rye with swiss cheese, spicy mustard and sauerkraut). After ordering the sandwich they proceeded to ask me if I would like lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, ketchup mustard ect. I told them I just wanted it like it was on the menu. When I got home and ate the sandwich It was pastrami on rye with Frenches yellow mustard, provolone cheese and a pile of shredded lettuce. On top of all of this the rye bread was extremely mild and you really couldn’t get the real rye taste from it. The restaurant itself looked liked someones cluttered mud room that had a couple of chairs and a table and counter pulled in. All in all this was a rather bad experience if you want a good sandwich to Bleecker Street Deli.
