Not impressed @ all. Way too expensive!! Ate there for lunch-basically can’t find anything for under 8.99! No lunch specials or if there were we were not told about them. I personally do not want to pay $8.99 & up JUST for lunch! 5 of us sat down to eat & we were only given 1 menu until we ask for a few more & even then they were ready to take our order. Soda was $2.39! Yes, free refills when we could get a refill. Service was not good. Ordered potato skins & cheese was not melted. Not sure if this is how they come or not but wasn’t about to ask for them to melt cheese since wait staff never around & I was on lunch break. Not impressed w/skins @ all!!! I’ve had better skins at hole in the wall bars & for a much cheaper price. Place was busy but I won’t be back. Not worth that kind of money.

Been around. This restaurant has been around a long time. Most of my friends like it. I guess to each his own. I don’t like my potato skins with unmelted cheese. I thought this was a mistake, but it turns out they use something similar to velveeta and don’t melt it. Anyway, chicken strips are pretty good, good happy hour prices, and okay burgers. I have to be honest – I just don’t get the appeal.
BG’s Old Tyme Deli. I love the food, which is down home and the atmosphere is relaxing. I am a visitor to Cape Girardeau, I come through every so often and I like to go to BG’s everytime. My family wishes that there was a Bg’s in our hometown.
