Awesome ribs!!! Killer smoked sausage!!! Amazing grilled asparagus!!! What a cool old building, right on the mighty Mississippi river. And the food was not only delicious, it was plated so attractively. We’re just passing through, but I’m so glad we found Port Cape bbq. Highly recommended!

Terrible service. After waiting way to long to be seated on a slow Sunday evening and being stated out by waitresses (unfortunately not the hostess) we were sat and told the waitress we needed a couple minutes when we first sat down. 20 minutes later when we were ready to walk out she finally found the time to ask us what we wanted. The food came out in a timely manner and was very good, but by that time my mood had soured. All in all good food and would recommend as lang as you can get past the service
Capes best barbeque in a great historical waterfront building.
Port Cape is Good. Earlier this month, we decided to try lunch at Port Cape and I am very glad we did. I had the barbeque on toast. It was excellent. The server was very personable and good at her job. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable and interesting. Before ordering from the menu (which is like an old newspaper and was a nice touch) the server allowed us to take a peek at the food bar. It was small and not much variety, but the menu items we ordered were excellent. Will return!
Great spot on the river front. We go to Cape three or four times a year and my wife and I were really bummed out after we found out our favorite stop at the riverfront had closed its doors. However, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We had eaten at Port Cape several years ago for a family reunion and then sort of forgot about the place. It looked about the same inside with a great view of the riverfront and a whimsical country feel inside. The staff was prompt and inviting and the food was superb. I had the beef brisket sandwich with pimento cheese spread on it and it was outstanding, my wife ordered a Ruben Sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. The sweet tea was great and their onion rings were awesome. We plan on going back next time we are in town.
Great place to eat. Come to Cape G twice a year. Second time to eat here. Had fun both times. Wonderful atmosphere and history in the restaurant. Lunch was actually better than supper…supper burger was a bit overcooked and the great Belaires we had at lunch the 1st time were half a day dry this time. Heavily breaded onion rings, but very good. The wait staff was great…even when my wife spilled a huge glass of ice water in my lap and we laughed so hard we couldn’t stand up. Great window for ice cream in case you just are out walking. Was kinda eerie sitting 30′ from the closed flood wall with water seeping under the sandbags.Probably our first meal under water! The Mississippi River was several feet above our heads just 30 feet away!Cool, relaxed, enjoyable place to eat. The floor slopes towards the river in this old building…so that back before the wall at least the water would flow out.
