The venue is small but the food is superb. I got there really hungry and ordered a kimcheese burger and a spicy pork burrito to satiate my craving. The burrito was jammed with fried rice, spicy pork, tomato salsa and lettuce. The marinated spicy pork was full of flavors and had a slight chew to it. The kim cheese burger features bulgogi with kimchi instead of beef patties. The creaminess of the cheese that smothered the bulgogi meshed well with the kimchi slaw. The ingredients were fresh and the Korean – Mexican flavor hit was as palatable as anticipated. Using a similar restaurant on the Delmar loop as my reference point for Korean-Mexican fusion, my verdict for Kim Cheese: 5/5. I’m agog to try their tacos next time!
