This is the best italian restaurant in St.Louis without a doubt. Great atmosphere and the best veal chop ever. Mama’s lasagne is fantastic as well. Always a great evening.
Fantastic! Service is good, not fabulous! We love that place
Passive agressive. Food was OK service was awful. We arrived on time, were seated with minimum delay and then the waiting began. We waited for our server and oh boy was he a doosey when he finally arrived. Erin. Obviously hates people and his job. We were neglected all evening. Will not subject ourselves to that again.
Don’t bother.. The only thing I enjoyed was the salad that was on special. Ordered the calamari and the batter was soggy and barely fried.. for the entree I ordered the sea bass that was on special with the spinach as my side. The spinach was mediocre. Very garlicky.. the sauce that accompanied the sea bass was very bland. My husband had pasta and seemed to enjoy it, so maybe the key is to stick with pasta.. for the price, I personally, was dissatisfied with my experience.
Unbelievable food, unbelievable service! We walked in ( from a Six flags outing) not looking like we dressed for dinner. And received the service of a five star restaurant. The food was an eye rolling and head shaking delight! I can’t give enought complements for the simple fact we had no idea on attire or cuisine and yet we felt as though we were home and we were family!
What’s good and what’s not as good. Excellent- Rack of lamb and pork chop were unbelievable, Generously proportioned with excellent sidesService good but there was an overall snooty attitude by the serversWe’ll try again and maybe the servers will match the foods for their excellence next time.
Best Rack of Lamb in Town!!!. The title say’s it all. Hands down, the best Rack of Lamb anywhere in the country. Very small restaurant in a ugly and old strip mall, but once you walk into Paul Mannos Cafe, you are whisked away to a small Italian cafe somewhere in a small city outside of Rome. The lighting, wait staff and food is a gem. Friendly service and deep rooted flavors that come out of that kitchen are amazing.
