Used to love PM BBQ. PM was awesome but really changed with the change of location. PM moved to a bigger building but something also changed in the quality of the food. The pulled pork seems fattier and the service really declined. Very sad and disappointing. I really used to love their food.
Best BBQ in the midwest
Pork-gasm. Don’t know HOW I managed to miss this gem… the ribs were AMAZING. The hillbilly nachos were………… interesting, in a good way. The half smoked chicken was really delicious, and the pork sandwich will most likely be tomorrow’s lunch. The sides were 50/50. The sweet corn sppon bread was INCREDIBLE……….. and the mac and cheese was really yummy. The broccoli rice bake was real ok, and the coleslaw was not anything special. the cheesy potatoes were unremarkable as well. The sauces were very good. I liked the spicy the best. The carolina was too vinegary, but when you mix it with the mustard sauce you get ~actual~ carolina sauce. I loved this place………… I will definitely be back !
O K BBQ. First visit and only had brisket and sides, so my review is limited and mixed. The brisket was tasty but sauces were confusing. As a native Carolinian, the Carolina sauce was not what I expected but was pretty good. Beans, slaw, macaroni & cheese and rice casserole just OK. Close enough we will try again.
We had carryout for dinner a few days ago. Brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, with cole slaw, smokehouse beans, and spoonbread. I chose the middle of the road sauce. She loved her pulled pork, ditto me for the sliced brisket which was not dry, it was tender. She loved the beans, ditto me on the spoonbread. Cole slaw, okay. We are going to have no problem returning, try out the dining area. I noticed reviews all over the place about PM. I’m hoping they now have their act together because what we ate this week was excellent, and reasonably priced.
Don’t Bother. Went on Wednesday night and ordered the ribs. They were very good. Sides were OK but nothing to write home about. Went back two nights later and again ordered the ribs. They were awful. Meat was dry as if they had been left over and reheated. Ordered the applesauce side and it was terrible. Small bits of skin left in it that were actually hard to swallow. Too lazy to fully peel the apples. Won’t be back.
Really good BBQ. Had the pulled pork with the cheesy potatoes and sweetcorn spoonbread. Really delicious. No beer on tap, only small selection of bottled beer. Worth the trip. Would recommend.
