Had stopped visiting for awhile. A couple of bad meals and loud bands had kept us away. Discovered the new menu recently and was pleased by the changes. The last meal we had was good and we plan on coming back. Owners work your regulars and thank them for their patronage…, it will go a long way with some folks. Also starting live music later would be something we would like to see.
A great $3.99 burger!
Suprisingly good!. My friend and I came to this pub on the recommendation of a co-worker. The staff was polite and service was good. I ordered the Lavish and my friend the Bowl of Bites. The food was excellent. The menu is very different and not what I expected when I saw the place. I am excited to try the lunch menu sometime and will be recommending this place to my friends.
Wednesday late dinner. I read the reviews of satchmo’s a couple of weeks ago and bought into the new chef,gourmet style food. thank goodness i took my son and not my wife (only because she was out of town). 7:45 on a wednesday evening and only two tables ordering. lets start with the good- the beer in bottles was cold.the waitress suggested fish tacos and the mahi sandwich. we waited 45 minutes and when i received my 3 oz mahi sandwich with broccoli as the side i could tell that the microwave was the chefs best friend. the 3 oz mahi on toasted white bread that had the crust cut off witha plastic knife was dryand the inedible. the broccoli was soaked in salt and whirl (the cooks best friend-liquid fake butter). the grilled tilapia in the tacos was hard strips of some unidentifiable seafood.if the cook had the kahonas to come to the table and explain what he was serving i wouldn’t have been so upset- but he left that to the waitress who happened to be sweet.another lesson learned- go with your instincts and not with computer ratings.i rate satchmo’s a .05 out of ten unless you are going there to get wasted.
Really fantastic! Ownership was out in the open, friendly and welcoming. Had the Southwestern Lahvosh. A Mediterranean thin, crisp bread topped with cheddar and havarti cheeses, green pepper, cilantro, seasoned beef, tomato and a signature Santa Fe sauce. Just excellent. Decent selection on tap. Great service at the bar. Would recommend!

Good Local Bar. This is our local pub, which we have been coming to more regularly since the new owners have taken owner. There have been some very positive changes in the menu, not your typical bar food. However, what we have seen the past couple of visits is going to prevent us from coming back as often: The food service is extremely slow, there is not enough help, and the owner(s) are not onsite. We have had to wait over 1/2 hour for basic food after putting in the order, there is always some excuse. We were there last week and there was one waitress for the entire restaurant (inside and outside), the bartenders were coming out to wait on tables. No owner onsite. This place is going to lose its customers if it does not get back on track. The food, once comes out, is good…but not worth the wait.
