Well, have enjoyed Addison’s in the past, tonight was mediocre at best. Waiter made us wait forever to place order, spilled water on wife’s purse, dumped my salad dressing over, and generally could care less about our service. As we sat at table, 3 workers started dragging chairs around with scraping so loud I thought they were closing. Terrible experience, close in the summer if this is the routine.
There is no excuse for clear peach tomatoes in September. I will not be back any time soon. Please go to farmers market and by some toms worth a damn
Positive experiences every visit! Great food and great fun!!! Thank you!!!
It was fine….. Like Murry’s, Columbians really talk up Addison’s and their nachos. After all of the hype, I was expecting something really special. Here’s the deal: Addison’s has a bit of an identity crisis. A quick glance at the menu shows that they’re trying to be slightly upscale (in both ingredients and price). However, the final execution lacks polish and finish. All of the right ingredients are there; they just don’t come together in harmony. Don’t get me wrong. The food is good. It’s just not great. The environment has a similar issue. The lighting, colors, and artwork are all somewhat upscale, but the tables and chairs look like they were pulled from a family-style country restaurant.Bottom line: I would’ve liked Addison’s more if all of their prices were about $2-3 less. The quality of the food is about in line with that price range. Addison’s falls into a weird category. If I want upscale food, I’ll pay a little more and get much better food Sycamore. If I want American pub food, I’ll save a few bucks and hit Flat Branch.
Good Food & Value!. I can’t rant and rave over this place like other restaurants I’ve been to in Columbia but it does offer a respectable meal at a good value. Had the calamari for an app…it was good but a tad on the greasy side. Not enough wasabi in the aioli. My wife enjoyed the petite Jeremy Strip Steak with broccoli. I had the Sesame Seared Tuna which was done nicely with a flavorful ginger rice and asparagus (two small spears of grilled asparagus? Hmmm? How ’bout one more?) The restaurant was busy but I felt our waitress should have returned to ask how our meal was BEFORE we finished! Nice bistro atmosphere so not a place for a quiet, romantic night out. Overall, Addison’s is worthy of a return trip but I won’t be in a rush to get back.
A great place to head after some time at the bars. Make sure to try their small nachos with chicken, chorizo, or beans. At only 5 dollars this is a killer deal and can easily provide a light snack for 2 people. Made with some of the most unique and delicious chips I’ve ever had (one person in our group compared them to fried crab Rangoon shells) this dish and restaurant definitely warrants a visit. I can’t wait to try an entre here!
Great food…great place! The bianco nachos are the best! We split the happy time burger & the sauted cucumbers are so good on it. The mojito fries were really good too.
