The food is absolutely delicious. One of the best places I’ve been in Columbia. They have high quality meat and you can definitely tell! Our waiter was great and I loved the atmosphere.
I stopped by the Barred Owl for a rather quick lunch on Saturday. I was seated outside, as I requested, by a lovely hostess. I asked her recommendation for light lunch. She recommended the Medianoche Sliders. When the super-attentive server came, I took the hostess’ suggestion and also ordered the mixed greens salad. The salad was delivered first, again at my request, and I found it to be fresh, clean and tasty. It was just the right size for no waste but not too much. About the time I took my final salad bite, the sliders came. The order came with 3 neatly prepared sliders. They had hints of a Cuban sandwich. Since I’ve had Cubans in South Florida, nothing compares to the real thing but these had a familiar taste that I enjoyed. The patio/deck was enjoyable but the restaurant interior looked interesting. I look forward to going back and trying other menu items and checking out the inside of the Barred Owl.
