I used to not like eating here because of the service, but you can tell they have been making an effort in the past year. I would not eat the platters — too dry — and have never really liked the ribs but I do like the BBQ pork sandwich with horseradish slaw on it.26 Jun, 2013The coleslaw is good. The meat is okay to good depending on the day. I have been here a few times and I finally stopped returning. The servers, by and large, are just not that great and it really kills the atmosphere. You can’t run a BBQ joint like a high turnover suburban restaurant: BBQ is a slow food and it needs people who get that to serve it. Based on the meat and the management Buckingham’s knew that at one point but likely had someone convince them people these days do not know the difference. We do.
